What is the SAT Exam?

The Digital SAT (DSAT) is a standardized test that is mainly required by universities in the United States for admission. This test tests a student’s math and English skills. Every year, most students who get into institutions like Harvard or MIT have a Digital SAT score between 1500 and 1550. Although the SAT exam was once paper-based, now the entire exam is online device-based. Due to this, this exam is called the Digital SAT Exam.

The SAT test is basically divided into two parts, one is English or Reading and Writing and the other is Mathematics. The SAT exam has a total of 1600 marks, out of which 800 marks are allocated for Reading and Writing and the remaining 800 marks are allocated for Mathematics. The current Digital SAT exam is given a time limit of two hours and 14 minutes, of which 64 minutes are given for two English modules of 32 minutes each. Within this time, a total of 54 English question passages and questions have to be read and answered. On the other hand, for mathematics, 35 minutes are given for each module, within which a student has to answer a total of 44 questions, twenty-two each.

Requirements for the Reading and Writing Part:
  • Advanced level English vocabulary
  • English literature reading skills

  • Mastering English grammar correctly

On the other hand, for the math section, some topics need to be mastered well. These include algebra, geometry, trigonometry, conic, arithmetic, percentages, and some advanced level math concepts.
